Chris Hall (Principal Ecologist) - Chris has been a licensed bat worker since 1995 and has been working as an ecological consultant since 2003. During this time Chris has carried out a range of projects such as otter surveys for wind farms in the north of Scotland, water vole surveys in the uplands of Wales and was a co-author of the feasibility study which resulted in the re-introduction of beavers to North Wales. As a former employee of the Snowdonia National Park Chris carried out 10 years of weekly bird survey transects and was the founder of the Dwyryd Otter Partnership.
Lizzie Richardson (Ecologist) - Lizzie has been working with Cambrian Ecology since 2021. She completed postgraduate studies in Conservation and Land Management at Bangor University before undertaking further training specific to ecological consultancy. Since then, she has been involved in a range of surveys both through voluntary roles with organisations such as the Wildlife Trust, through her previous work with the Snowdonia National Park Authority and in her current position with CEL. Lizzie is specifically interested in botany and habitat mapping but is also an accredited agent on the bat and otter licenses of Chris Hall. She is currently working towards her own licenses with these and other protected species.
Ben Box (Ecologist) - Ben has been working with Cambrian Ecology since 2022 with a specific interest in herpetology. He completed a bachelors degree in Zoology and Herpetology at Bangor University before gaining a research masters with a focus on snake ecology. Since then, Ben has been involved in an array of voluntary and professional surveys both with organisations such as the Bat Conservation Trust and Amphibian and Reptile Conservation and with CEL. He is currently working towards his great crested newt and bat licences.
